National Day of Prayer, The Line in the Sand.....

First off, I'm not sure what happened to my last post.....must've been to much truth for google to handle all at one time......it's a conspiracy! LOL!
Anyway that's not what I'm writing about in this session.
Have any of you been a little miffed about the news stories that surround this National Day of Prayer (NDP)? First a 2 bit judge declares it unconstitutional, then Franklin Graham gets kicked out from the Pentagon's gathering. Folks believe it or not, this is persecution! This should make you want to pray that much more!!!
Franklin actually confirmed something I was thinking when he said he wanted to hug that judge! This year's NDP has gotten more press than previous years and has more people fired up than usual.
Well folks, let this year be the line in the sand. The persecution will only get worse from here on out. Take this years NDP and mold it into your daily prayer time. Most folks pray once a day, even if it's just a very short "Thank You Lord". Let's all become disciplined enough to have an intentional prayer that includes our government in all levels and the social behaviors around us.
Personally we should consider Everyday a National Day of Prayer as we talk to God. We as a praying people should not settle for one day, but make it EVERYDAY! The NDP is a good thing as far as bringing everyone together for one big corporate prayer, but it's easily made into a social event. With our ability to act as a Pharisee more often than we'd like to admit, the NDP can fuel that fire within us. Don't get me wrong with that last statement!!! I do SUPPORT a NDP but only if it's done for the right reasons.
Mark this day on your calenders y'all. Within the next few years we may be told that we can not pray and the NDP will be removed from our Federal Governments grounds. They WILL NOT keep us from praying!!! Whether it's an announced NDP or in the quite darkness of our bedrooms at night, we need to keep praying and doing so more fervantly!
That's just what was moving in me right now and I wanted to share. Thank you for reading and hopefully fighting this good fight! Remember to join in the praying today as many of your brothers and sisters will be taking prayer to heart and lifting up this nation, their local governments, communities, natural disaster relief, and topics from a broader spectrum than I can imagine.

With Further thought Obama IS Right!

Before I start I want to Preface this by saying I did not vote for Obama! And before all my republican friends start to think this Democrat voted for McCain (although I did like Palin), I didnt vote for him either..... My vote went to an unknown in the Constitution Party.....I even had to write it in.
"America is NOT a Christian Nation" as Obama declared in a speech he made in a Muslim region. I've thought about this one statement over and over and over. Infact I kind of got a little bit peeved about it. The more I thought about it the more I realized Obama was correct! He could have been even more correct by saying that America is a Nation of people that Think they are Christian. So now lets look at that! Granted I have no one person in mind as I write this, but rather our nation as a whole.
We fly the Christian flag, but do we really walk the walk? I think if we really tried to walk the walk we'd have better choices come election time......not because the candidate was better but because we'd have higher standards and specific truths we'd All expect from the candidate....and we'd hold them to it! I was really deep in thought and prayer this past week because of how the State of NC wants to cut more money from the EDUCATION budget. The more I thought about this (it also prompted me to think about the original statement that moved me to blog about it) the more I realize ALL of our political venues are corrupt! And it's because Obama was Right!
Our town board is made up of mostly Real Estate agents....... guess where development is still running rampant!? You got it! The town board is looking out solely for their own agendas and not what is really good for this town I love. If the United States of America were truly a Christian Nation, we'd see the "Hope" within our leaders........but mostly all I see is Greed(few exceptions, very few).
I hope you're offended by the statement "America is not a Christian Nation"! I hope it burns so deep in your soul that you are moved to change it. I hope you do a self evaluation of your spiritual temperature. Are you cold? luke warm? or on fire? Just because you are burning with passion over the statement, are you as passionate about your faith?
Here is some scripture that keeps coming up in my reading and I think it's a solution to Obama's statement.
It's found in Ephesians 6: 10-23 (The Message)

¹⁰And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. ¹¹So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. ¹²This is no afternoon athletic contest that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.

¹³Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. ¹⁴Truth, righteousness, ¹⁵peace, ¹⁶faith, ¹⁷and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. ¹⁸In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.

¹⁹And don’t forget to pray for me. Pray that I’ll know what to say and have the courage to say it at the right time, telling the mystery to one and all, the Message that I, ²⁰jailbird preacher that I am, am responsible for getting out.

²¹Tychicus, my good friend here, will tell you what I’m doing and how things are going with me. He is certainly a dependable servant of the Master! ²²I’ve sent him not only to tell you about us but to cheer you on in your faith.

²³Good-bye, friends. Love mixed with faith be yours from God the Father and from the Master, Jesus Christ. ²⁴Pure grace and nothing but grace be with all who love our Master, Jesus Christ.

I just really like the discription in this translation/paraphrase of the Bible. Most other translations tell us to "Put on the FULL ARMOR OF GOD" and tells us to PRAY!!! If we do follow these instructions and really study what they mean, we will be making Huge step in the direction of turning America back into a Christian Nation once again.

Think about it y'all!

Prayers that are fulfilled......Glory to God!

I've been telling this to several people since monday when my wife and I had an ultrasound. But it starts like this.....
Back in June my wife and I attended a Homecoming service at her grandmothers church in Boone NC. They had a special preacher doing the service that morning with it being the 50th Anniversary and all. The preacher is named Jim Henry and he is truely a man after Gods heart!
As he started to preach he mentioned that he had been bombarded with people wanting prayers to have babies. So he has been praying for people to have babies. Well that's when he said something to the tune of, I feel led to pray for that here (not a direct quote because I cant remember his exact words). This past monday we went for the ultrasound. They measure the baby and here is what they found and said...... The baby measures 6 weeks and 1 day......That's right! Praise God! That sunday was 6 weeks from the time of the sermon and prayer, and the monday added the 1 day. I know many people will discount this as coincidence, but my Faith tells me other wise! God is good, All The Time! I know God has blessed us once again through the power of prayer.
I keep finding myself telling about this, and I'll shout it from the mountain top. This is Miraculous and needs to be shared to everyone who will listen.
In return if you have a prayer request, I'd like to pray for you. I'll keep it on the down low unless you specifically tell me to pass it on to some prayer warrior friends of mine.
Thank you God for the many blessings you've given, and the opportunities I have that I came lift others up in prayer. Thank you for awesome men of God like Jim Henry that pray fervantly for your people. Thank you father and All the Glory to You! Amen
